This policy applies to UME ScreenLock (hereinafter referred to as "the App" or "we") and the third-party SDKs or services it integrates. If a third-party application or service has its own separate privacy policy, that service's policy takes precedence; for anything not covered there, this policy applies.
We understand the importance of personal information to you and follow the principles of lawfulness, legitimacy, necessity, and good faith, taking appropriate security measures to protect your personal information. Please read and understand this policy carefully before using the App; by using the App, you agree to the practices described herein. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
This policy will help you understand the following:
- How we collect and use your personal information
- How we use cookies and similar technologies
- How we share, transfer, and publicly disclose your personal information
- How we protect your personal information
- Your rights
- How we handle children's personal information
- How we store your personal information

1. How We Collect and Use Your Personal Information
Personal information is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person recorded electronically or otherwise, excluding information that has been anonymized. Sensitive personal information is personal information that, if leaked or unlawfully used, could easily lead to infringement of a natural person's dignity or endanger personal or property safety (the App generally does not actively collect sensitive personal information; where a specific feature requires it, you will be informed separately at the time of authorization).
We collect and use your personal information only for the purposes described in this policy, based on your authorization and consent or as permitted by law.
(1) Core Business Functions
The App provides lock screen display, lock screen style and wallpaper personalization, and lock screen-related interactions. To deliver these functions, we may process the following information:
1. Lock Screen Display and Personalization
To load and apply your chosen lock screen styles, wallpapers, or theme assets, we may collect device model, operating system version, app version, language, screen resolution, and feature usage records. If you grant storage or media access permission, we access relevant files only when necessary to read or save your selected local assets; if you do not grant this permission, some personalization features may be unavailable.
2. Lock Screen Interface and System Interaction
To display the interface in lock screen scenarios, the App may request permissions such as display over other apps / overlay (where required by the system). You can disable related permissions at any time in system settings; doing so affects only the features that depend on those permissions.
3. Notifications and Runtime Status
To send download completion alerts, feature reminders, or app runtime notifications (where enabled), the App may request notification permission. The content of such notifications depends on the features you use and your system settings.
Personal information required for the core business functions above is limited to the minimum necessary scope as required by applicable laws and regulations. If you choose not to provide certain non-essential information, you may be unable to use corresponding extended capabilities, but other basic functions (where applicable) remain unaffected.
(2) Extended Business Functions
To improve the product experience, the following extended features may collect and use your personal information. You may choose whether to use them; declining typically does not affect core business functions, but you may not receive the corresponding extended experience.
1. Ad Display
On the lock screen or in related in-app locations, we may display ads served by third-party advertising platforms. To deliver ads, prevent fraud, and measure effectiveness, we may collect device information (such as device model, operating system version, network type, IP address), advertising identifiers (such as OAID, Android ID), and ad display, click, and conversion events. This may require permissions such as reading device status and network access.
You can disable personalized ad recommendations in your system's Privacy or Ads settings (where supported by your device and system version). After disabling, you may still see ads, but they may be less relevant.
2. Analytics and Crash Reporting
To improve product stability and experience, we may collect crash logs, performance data, feature usage frequency and duration, and the status of certain settings, processed through integrated analytics or crash reporting SDKs.
3. Version Updates
To check for and provide app updates, we may collect device model, operating system version, app version, and language to determine whether an update is available.
(3) Circumstances Where Consent Is Not Required
Under applicable laws and regulations, we may collect and use personal information without your authorization or consent in the following circumstances:
- Where necessary to fulfill obligations prescribed by laws and regulations;
- Where directly related to national security, defense security, public security, public health, or major public interests;
- Where directly related to criminal investigation, prosecution, trial, or enforcement of judgments;
- Where necessary to protect your or another person's life, property, or other major lawful rights and interests, but it is difficult to obtain consent;
- Where the personal information involved has been disclosed by you to the public;
- Where personal information is collected from lawfully and publicly disclosed information;
- Where necessary to maintain the secure and stable operation of the products or services provided.
2. How We Use Cookies and Similar Technologies
The App is primarily a mobile client and typically does not collect information through browser cookies. We may use local storage, device identifiers (such as OAID, Android ID), and similar technologies for purposes such as maintaining login or configuration state, analytics, advertising, and fraud prevention. You can manage some of these capabilities through system or in-app settings (where available).
3. How We Share, Transfer, and Publicly Disclose Your Personal Information
We share, transfer, or disclose your personal information in accordance with the principle of minimum necessity and applicable law, and require relevant parties to take appropriate protective measures.
(1) Sharing
We do not share your personal information with companies, organizations, or individuals other than Shanghai Bose Information Technology Co., Ltd., except in the following cases:
- With your explicit consent: after obtaining your explicit consent, we share with other parties;
- Legal requirements: as required by laws and regulations or mandatory requirements of government authorities;
- Service providers: sharing information necessary to deliver functionality with vendors such as cloud hosting and customer support providers;
- Authorized partners and third-party SDKs: as described below and in the Third-Party SDK List; you may also review a summary of collected information in the app or via Privacy & Terms.
Third-Party SDK Notice: To ensure stable service operation and feature delivery, the App integrates SDKs or similar programs from authorized partners. We conduct security assessments of SDKs and require them to process personal information in accordance with this policy and confidentiality and security requirements.
Due to the functional needs of a lock screen product (including ad display, data analytics, crash reporting, anti-fraud, and related purposes), the App integrates various third-party SDKs, including but not limited to Google AdMob and Firebase and their associated services; the specific SDK types, versions, and categories of shared information may change as the product evolves.
These SDKs may independently collect and process information by third parties. Common types include:
- Device information (such as device model, system version, network type, IP address);
- Advertising identifiers (such as OAID, Android ID);
- App usage and ad interaction data (such as display, click, and conversion events);
- Crash and performance diagnostic data.
The purposes, methods, sharing scope, and your rights regarding third-party SDK information processing are governed by each SDK provider's published privacy policy. We recommend reviewing their privacy terms before using related features. For the complete list of integrated SDKs, see the Third-Party SDK List.
By using the App, you acknowledge the existence of these third-party SDKs. If you do not agree to related processing, you may stop using the App, or disable personalized ads and similar options in system and app settings (where supported).
Third-party collection and processing of information is subject to their own privacy terms; portions not covered by this policy are governed by third-party policies. If you discover privacy risks with a third party, we recommend discontinuing related actions and contacting us promptly.
(2) Transfer
We do not transfer your personal information to any company, organization, or individual, except: with your explicit consent; or in circumstances such as merger, division, dissolution, or bankruptcy, where if personal information transfer is involved, we will inform you of the recipient's name and contact details and require the recipient to remain bound by this policy; otherwise, we will seek your consent again.
(3) Public Disclosure
We publicly disclose your personal information only with your explicit consent, or where required by laws and regulations, legal proceedings, litigation, or mandatory requirements of government authorities.
We do not sell your personal information for direct monetary consideration.
4. How We Protect Your Personal Information
We have adopted industry-standard security measures to prevent unauthorized access, public disclosure, use, modification, damage, or loss of data, including transmission encryption, access controls, security audits, and employee training. The internet environment is not absolutely secure; please safeguard your device and account information.
In the unfortunate event of a personal information security incident, we will, as required by laws and regulations, promptly inform you of the basic facts, potential impact, measures taken or to be taken, suggestions for you to prevent and reduce risk, remedial measures available to you, and report to regulators as required.
5. Your Rights
Under applicable personal information protection laws, regulations, and standards, you have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access and copy: you have the right to access and obtain a copy of your personal information held by us (except as otherwise provided by law);
- Correction and supplementation: when you find errors in your personal information, you have the right to request correction or supplementation;
- Deletion: under statutory circumstances or those listed in this policy, you have the right to request deletion of relevant personal information;
- Change authorization scope: you may disable related permissions or features at any time in system settings or within the app;
- Withdraw consent: you may withdraw consent previously given; we will stop corresponding processing to the extent technically feasible;
- Account deletion and discontinuation: the App generally does not require account registration; you may stop further collection by uninstalling the app or clearing app data (except information retained as required by law).
You can manage authorization by uninstalling the App, disabling permissions in system settings, turning off personalized ads (where supported), or disabling corresponding features in the app (where available). Withdrawing consent may prevent you from continuing to use features that depend on that information, but does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal based on your consent.
To exercise the rights above, please contact us using the details below. To protect security, we may need to verify your identity before processing your request. For reasonable requests, we generally do not charge a fee; for repeated or excessive requests, we may charge a cost-based fee or refuse as permitted by law.
6. How We Handle Children's Personal Information
The App is primarily intended for adults and does not provide services to children. Under the laws of the People's Republic of China, we treat anyone under the age of 14 as a child. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information without verifiable parental or guardian consent. If you believe we have collected a child's information without consent, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
7. How We Store Your Personal Information
(1) Storage Location
Personal information collected and generated within the People's Republic of China is generally stored within the People's Republic of China. If cross-border transfer is required, we will fulfill obligations such as notification, assessment, or obtaining separate consent as required by applicable law.
(2) Retention Period

- Legal records: retained as required by law or regulatory authorities.
After the retention period expires, we delete or anonymize your personal information. Local theme caches and downloaded files on your device can be cleared through app or system storage management.
8. How This Policy Is Updated
We may revise this policy based on product updates and legal requirements. Without your explicit consent, we will not reduce the rights you are entitled to under this policy. Updated policies will be published on this page with the "Last updated" date at the top revised accordingly. For material changes, we will notify you through in-app prompts or other appropriate means, and seek your consent again where required by law.
Material changes referred to in this policy include, but are not limited to:
- Significant changes to the purposes, types, or methods of processing personal information;
- Changes to the main recipients of personal information sharing, transfer, or public disclosure;
- Significant changes to your rights regarding personal information processing and how to exercise them;
