These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to UME ScreenLock (the "App") — an Android lock screen customization and lock screen functionality application. By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Acceptance of Terms and Eligibility
You must be of the legal age to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction; if required by local law, you must obtain guardian consent before use. If you use the App on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. License Scope
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable personal, non-commercial license to install and use the App on compatible devices. Except for this license, all rights in the App and its content (including but not limited to software, interface, wallpaper materials, trademarks, and documentation) are owned by Shanghai Bose Information Technology Co., Ltd. or its licensors.
3. Lock Screen Features and System Permissions
The App's core features include a customizable lock screen interface, lock screen styles, and related interactions. Required permissions vary by system version, device model, and distribution method (standalone install or OEM integration), and may include but are not limited to:
- Display over other apps / overlay: to display the interface in lock screen scenarios (where required by the system);
- Storage or media access: to read wallpapers or lock screen materials you select locally;
- Notification permission: to send notifications related to app operation, settings, or features (if enabled);
You are responsible for ensuring that granted permissions align with your intended use, and understand that revoking permissions may cause some features to become unavailable.
4. Personalized Content, Advertising, and Third-Party SDKs
You may choose lock screen styles, wallpapers, and other personalized content. The App integrates multiple third-party SDKs as needed for functionality, including but not limited to Google AdMob and Firebase for ad display, analytics, crash reporting, and related services. The specific SDKs depend on the version actually integrated.
Please note: Third-party SDKs are independently operated by their respective providers. Their collection and use of information and display of ads to you are governed by those third parties' terms and privacy policies. By continuing to use the App, you understand and agree to the presence of these third-party SDKs and their operation according to their respective rules.

You may manage personalized ad recommendations in your device's Privacy or Advertising settings (if supported). You must ensure that wallpapers, images, and other content you upload or select do not infringe others' intellectual property, portrait rights, or other lawful rights, and do not violate applicable laws.
5. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- use the App in ways that violate laws, platform policies, or others' rights;
- use lock screen, overlay, or other system capabilities to harass, defraud, maliciously lock others' devices, or interfere with normal use;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code (except where expressly permitted by law);
- interfere with or disrupt the App, servers, or networks, or use unauthorized automated means to access services;
- bypass access controls, authorization, or payment mechanisms;
- upload or spread malicious code, or attempt unauthorized access to our or others' systems.
6. Third-Party SDKs and Services
The App integrates third-party SDKs and related services for lock screen, advertising, analytics, and other features (including but not limited to Google AdMob and Firebase, as well as app stores and other services), and may include third-party links. These services are independently operated by third parties; their terms, privacy policies, and ad content are not under our control. Disputes or claims between you and third parties should first be directed to the relevant third party; we will only assist or bear corresponding liability to the extent required by law. Detailed descriptions of third-party SDKs are available in the Privacy Policy and Third-Party SDK List.
7. Intellectual Property
The App and related trademarks, logos, interface designs, software, and documentation are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license in Section 2, all rights not expressly granted are reserved. For content you submit through the App, you must ensure you have the corresponding rights; you also grant us a non-exclusive license necessary to operate, provide, and improve the App.
8. Disclaimer
The App is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we make no express or implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Lock screen functionality depends on Android system version, device manufacturer customizations, and permissions you grant; performance may vary across devices. We are not liable beyond what law requires for feature changes caused by system updates, manufacturer policy changes, or disabled permissions.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Shanghai Bose Information Technology Co., Ltd. and its affiliates, employees, and suppliers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising from use or inability to use the App.
For any claim related to these Terms or the App, our total liability shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you actually paid us for the App in the twelve (12) months before the claim; or (b) RMB 50 equivalent (where applicable), unless local law prohibits such limitations.
10. Indemnification
You shall defend and indemnify us and our affiliates against third-party claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, misuse of the App, content you provide, or violation of applicable law, unless such harm is directly caused by our intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
11. Suspension, Termination, and Changes
We may suspend or terminate your access to some or all features if you breach these Terms, legal requirements, or app store policies, or when necessary to protect users and service security. You may uninstall the App at any time to stop using it. Terms that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimer, limitation of liability, and indemnification) remain in effect.
We may update these Terms from time to time and publish revised versions on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated as required by law or through in-app notices. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
The formation, validity, interpretation, and dispute resolution of these Terms shall be governed by the laws of mainland China (excluding conflict of law rules), except where mandatory consumer protection provisions require otherwise. Disputes arising from these Terms or the App shall first be resolved through friendly negotiation; if negotiation fails, they shall be submitted to the people's court with jurisdiction over the principal place of business of Shanghai Bose Information Technology Co., Ltd.
